Prize giving to best young talent IF and other prizes at the Monte Carlo Food Fair
As every year during the Monte Carlo Food Fair ,ItalyFood Monte -Carlo has a prize- giving to close its show. There are many prizes but the most important is the Best Young Talent Prize. This prize is given to the best young journalistic talent for an article about food or wine. The article can be in the language of Dante or Shakespeare.
The ceremony was presented and explained by Mr Mario Moranzoni, President of ItalyFood MonteCarlo
Before announcing the prize for the best young talent, Mr Moranzoni showed us the present which had been given to him by the wine producers Agricola Marrone from the Langhe Hills in Italy. It was a superb magnum of red Barolo, personally signed and dedicated to ItalyFood and Mr Moranzoni. With a pretty colored and charming label it was a magnificent gift.
Mr Moranzoni then invited Mr Giorgio Gandolfi, the Monte Carlo Food Fair organizer to step forward and be given a gift of thanks for this 20th edition of this event, again a huge success.
Mr Gandolfi also received a charming box of wines from Agricola Marrone, one of the producers at the ItalyFood stand and on the ItalyFood website.
The winner is Paola Luzzara
Mrs Colman of Monte Carlo In, the Italian magazine of Monaco, had the privilege of announcing the winner of the Best Young Talent IF which this year is a young lady.
Her name is Paola Luzzara, a young Italian student in economy and journalism in London and who submitted an article called “A girl and a dream called Street Food” which you can read here Paola being still in London and unable to receive her prize in person, her Aunt came to represent her and say a few words on her behalf. Words of pride and hope and a desire to promote her Italian culture in her future career.
We can guess that the cheque made out to her by ItalyFood Monte Carlo and the Italian products which made up part of the prize will give her pleasure. Many congratulations to her ; future talents are advised that the next competition for Best Young Talent IF 2016 is now open! Click here to take part.
The Chef Guzzone is the star of the show.
Then it was the time to reward the great protagonists of the ItalyFood Show 2015 and they were many.
The well-deserved first prize went to Mr Filippo Mezzaro, Coffee Master and World Champion of Cappuccino making who had so enthralled the crowd with his amazing masterpieces of cappuccino decorations. If you want to relive his performance, follow the link Filippo Mezzaro.
A beautiful gift box of Prosecco wines from Le Rive were presented to him by Mr Ezio Daniele, representative of Lavazza coffee in the Principality.
Then it was the turn of Mr Coslovich, the Italian barman of the ItalyFood show who had created a delicious cocktail from Prosecco and saffron vodka and other delights, who was rewarded. He was presented with a fine assortment of Pesto di Prà, the best pesto from Genoa, another producer of quality supported by ItalyFood Monte- Carlo.
Staying with wine it was the turn of Mr Jean Pierre Rous of Slow Food Monaco to be rewarded for all his work during the ItalyFood Show and for his informed comments regarding the wines. The box of wines from the Tenuta Marrone, producer of wine in the Langhe Hills in Italy gave him much pleasure.
Last but not least, the Chef Massimo Guzzone who has appeared at most of the food workshops of ItalyFood Monte -Carlo . See again his exceptional Plate of Peace by following the link; Plat de la Paix ItalyFood; or his fabulous zabaglione with coffee and mascarpone by following the link Sabayon café et mascarpone.
Chef Guzzone also received a wonderful box of prosecco from Bollicine, Le Rive, another producer supported by Mr Moranzoni and ItalyFood Monte-Carlo.
But without the presence, eloquence and elegance of Mr Olivier Taboué, Master of Ceremonies extraordinary with his witty repartee, the party would have been less joyful. It was therefore logical that Mr Moranzoni should present his friend from the association Business Between Friends of Monaco a last present, thanking him for his performance which was simply spectacular, as was the ItalyFood Show 2015.; thanks given with an kiss in Italian style.
ItalyFood thanks all participants and spectators at this Monte-Carlo Food Fair 2015 who have helped to make such a success for the food workshops and for the ItalyFood stand itself.
Mr Moranzoni and ItalyFood Monte-Carlo look forward to seeing you again next year with many new surprises for the 21st edition of the Monte-Carlo Food Fair 2016.
