Great success for U Giru de Natale race with Italy Food Monte Carlo

Italy Food Monte Carlo salutes the success of traditional foot race U Giru de Natale 2014 in Monaco this 14 December.

Smiles were all out this sunday as a cheerful crowd showed up in droves to compete in the yearly 10 kms challenge U Giru de Natale.

Official Partner of the popular foot race, Italy Food Monte Carlo was on display to tout the well-known virtues of italian cuisine in mouth-watering teasers all along the course.

Italy Food's Mario-Moranzoni was game for the Giru de Natale '14 and although he cheated a bit by joining the race on a motorized vehicle, it was all for the good cause and ensuring all participants had as much fun as possible.

Families, schools and local companies were all up to their respective challenges while the flagship race, a 10km run through the streets of Monte Carlo following on the tire tracks of the Formula One Grand Prix de Monte Carlo.

32 minutes and 8 seconds were enough for race winner Eliud Sugut for Decines Meyzieu Athlétisme to complete the 10 kilometers and be crowned this year's champion, followed on the podium by Mehdi Khelifi from Bari and Thomas André of Fréjus who cut the finish line together (32'18'').

As for Monaco nationals, Scott Brunner ended up best man (41'17'') while Clarisse Carlesi was the best woman (52'26'').
