Red pesto
Red Pesto has ancient origins. It is said that in the port of Trapani, Genoese sailors from the East introduced their traditional pesto to the islanders. The Sicilians adapted the recipe according to the ingredients available to them and the result was a triumph of flavours.
Combining the ingredients of the traditional Pesto with the dried tomatoes of Sicily, today we produce it with our basil from our farm “Serre sul Mare”since 1827.
Perfect as a sauce for pasta but also as an accompaniment to meat and bread.
